10 netheilræði og lokun vefsíðna í skólanum.
SAFT- Samfélag, fjölskylda og tækni, er vakningarátak um örugga tækninotkun barna og unglinga á Íslandi. Samtökin hafa útbúið nýjan bækling með 10 netheilræðum sem dreift hefur verið til barna í 1.-4. bekk. Í bæklingnum er að finna góð ráð fyrir foreldra til að aðstoða börn og unglinga við örugga tölvu- og netnotkun.
Í byrjun skólaárs var tekin sú ákvörðun að loka fyrir aðgang nemenda að facebook.com og nokkrum öðrum síðum.
Ekki er löglegt að börn yngri en 13 ára stofni síðu á facebook og unglingar 13-18 ára þurfa leyfi foreldra til að setja um sig upplýsingar á Internetið. Hér fyrir neðan eru hlutar skilmála facebooksíðunnar sem við vísum í:

If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for Facebook or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address.
